Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Aerial Tower & Rooftop Technician and Forman to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, maintaining, servicing, and decommissioning communication towers, rooftop communication sites, rooftop access safety systems, and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Your expertise will help support essential infrastructure for mobile networks, wireless internet, and EV charging networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and install communication towers and rooftop sites while working safely at heights.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tower and rooftop infrastructure.
- Service and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Decommission or remove outdated or inactive communication sites.
- Build and form concrete pads and supporting structures.
- Install rooftop safety equipment such as ladders, platforms, and guardrails.
- Assist with general construction and site preparation tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven ability to work safely at heights and in physically demanding environments.
- Hands-on experience with concrete and formwork.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulations, rigging, and craning principles.
- Skilled in the use and maintenance of hand tools and power tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in a related field is an asset).
- Basic understanding of telecommunications systems, testing equipment, RF, fiber optic, and DC power cable installation, antennas, and radios (assets).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams and technical drawings.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to coach, delegate, and mentor team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous industry experience and familiarity with major Canadian wireless carriers (preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
