Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Payroll & People Analytics Coordinator to join our team in Dartmouth, NS.
This role sits at the intersection of People & Culture (P&C) operations and data, ensuring employees are paid correctly, group benefits programs and other perks run smoothly, and leadership has access to meaningful workforce analytics to support decision-making.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration

Support end-to-end global payroll on a regular cycle of semi-monthly across North Americal and monthly across the United Kingdom

Ensure payroll accuracy, including salaries and statutory deductions

Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with local tax and employment regulations

Liaise with external payroll providers and internal finance teams

Support audits and reporting requirements
Benefits Administration

Support the employee benefits programs (health, retirement, insurance, wellness)

Support employee enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefits systems

Act as a point of contact for employee benefit inquiries

Coordinate with brokers and vendors to ensure smooth service delivery

Support benefits renewals and benchmarking

Administer the employee perks and discount programs
People Analytics & Reporting

Maintain and analyze People & Culture data (headcount, turnover, compensation, absenteeism)

Build and maintain dashboards and regular reports for leadership

Identify trends and provide actionable insights to improve employee experience and retention

Ensure data integrity across HRIS and payroll systems
Compliance & Process Improvement

Ensure compliance with employment standards, tax laws, and internal policies

Maintain documentation of payroll and benefits processes

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy

Support P&C projects and system implementations
Qualifications and Experience:
Required Qualifications
-
5 years of experience in payroll, benefits, P&C operations, data analytics or similar role
-
Post secondary diploma or degree in business administration, accounting, finance, analytics or a related field.

Strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements

Experience administering employee benefits programs
-
Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems

Advanced skills in Microsoft 365; experience with data visualization tools is a plus

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Exceptional communication skills

Analytical mindset with an ability to see trends and provide insights in complex data sets
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting multi-country payroll

Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Certification in payroll or Human Resources (e.g., PCP, CPP, CIPD)
