Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lawn Care Specialist to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes through various projects, namely landscape maintenance and labour activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, with the ability to operate mechanical and power tools efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a beautiful and dynamic environment, contributing to the beautification and health of residential or commercial properties. You'll work with team members to meet timelines and service multiple beautiful properties.
Duties
- Perform lawn maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and occasionally other tools to ensure healthy and attractive landscapes
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and landscape construction projects
- Conduct gardening tasks such as planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and maintaining garden beds
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape design or improvements
- Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure proper functioning of tools and machinery
- Follow safety protocols during all landscaping and construction activities
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, horticulture, or garden maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscaping equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems
- Familiarity with gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and plant care best practices
- Experience with hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools (trimmers, blowers) used in landscape work
- Construction experience or knowledge of landscape construction is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor tasks
We will provide some on-job training to the right applicant. Must have a vehicle for travel between Nelson to Balfour areas
Pay: $22.68-$30.21 per hour
