Job Overview
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Bradford is looking for friendly, professional, and guest focused Front Desk Agents to join our opening team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience while delivering exceptional Marriott hospitality standards.
The ideal candidate is energetic, detail oriented, and passionate about customer service. This role involves handling guest check ins and check outs, assisting with reservations, resolving guest concerns, and supporting daily front desk operations in a fast paced hotel environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Services
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and departure
- Perform check in and check out procedures efficiently and accurately
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
- Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with Marriott brand standards
Front Desk Operations
- Process reservations, cancellations, and room modifications
- Verify guest information, assign rooms, and issue room keys
- Handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately
- Maintain accurate billing and balance cash floats at shift end
- Complete daily shift reports and documentation
Communication & Teamwork
- Coordinate with housekeeping regarding room status and priorities
- Communicate maintenance issues promptly for guest rooms and public areas
- Ensure smooth shift handovers with proper communication and notes
- Support fellow team members to maintain efficient hotel operations
Sales & Revenue Support
- Promote room upgrades and hotel amenities
- Support Marriott Bonvoy loyalty enrollments and recognition
- Ensure accurate rate application and adherence to hotel pricing policies
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records in PMS systems such as Stay or Marriott systems
- Follow hotel SOPs, brand standards, and audit procedures
- Keep the front desk and lobby area clean, organized, and professional
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience
- High school diploma required
- Hospitality diploma or related education is an asset
- Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service and problem solving abilities
- Comfortable using computers and hotel systems
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
