Wild Coast Rentals: Power and HVAC - is a specialty rental company that provides temporary power, heating & air conditioning to a variety of industries. We are seeking an apprentice electrician - service & installation technician to join our team on a full time basis.
You will need to have a valid certification for one or more of the following: Electrician, Gas Fitter, HVAC Technician, Mechanic or Millwright to qualify for this position - and willing to learn additional skills on the job.
You will work with our team to install, maintain, repair and build temporary Power, Heating & Cooling Equipment. This is a great position for you to learn a wide variety of skills
Everyday is different at Wild Coast, we are a fast paced workplace that tackles a wide range of projects. Working both at the warehouse and in the field, you will assist with all aspects of the install, repair and maintenance of our equipment.
We are based out of Aldergrove, BC. You will be required to work both in a team and on your own. You will need to drive a company vehicle to and from site as required. We are a fast growing company that promotes a casual work environment with direct communication to management and ownership.
You should be able to:
- Complete company paperwork as required.
- Test equipment before and after rentals.
- Maintain a clean and tidy shop.
- Participate in the loading and unloading of freight and equipment from vehicles.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as but not limited to pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies and carts.
- Perform maintenance tasks as required on company assets.
- Pickup, drop off, setup & disconnect equipment as deemed necessary.
- Be willing to work on all types of equipment including Generators, Transformers, Heaters, Air Conditioners.
- Be willing to participate in after hours, emergency pager duty.
Key Requirements:
- Required language: Fluent English
- Certification as either an Electrician, Gas Fitter, HVAC technician, Mechanic or Millwright.
- 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year apprentices will be considered.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Class 3 Drivers License with air brakes and/or a heavy duty towing endorsement
- Schedule flexibility is a must. Be willing to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays and nights as required. Our normal work hours are 0900 to 1700 Monday to Friday but you will need to cover a variety of weekend and graveyard shifts as customer jobs demand.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 60lbs
- Willingness to travel across Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, BC Interior, and Vancouver Island as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
