HVAC Installer / Apprentice (1–3 Years Experience)
Job Summary
Rocky Point Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer / Apprentice with 1–3 years of residential installation experience to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone who already has hands-on experience installing residential heating and cooling systems and is looking to further develop their skills while working alongside experienced technicians. We specialize in residential heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, air conditioning systems, furnaces, and ventilation equipment throughout the Lower Mainland.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, hardworking, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Applicants without previous HVAC installation experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Assist with and perform residential HVAC installations
- Install ductless heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, and ventilation systems
- Assist with refrigerant piping, condensate drains, control wiring, and equipment setup
- Perform basic sheet metal work and equipment modifications
- Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites
- Follow company installation standards and safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites when required
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–3 years of residential HVAC installation experience required
- Experience installing heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, or ductless systems
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to read installation manuals and follow instructions
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work on ladders, in crawlspaces, and attics
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license required
- Sheet metal, gas fitting, refrigeration, or electrical experience considered an asset

Experience
Required:
- 1–3 years residential HVAC installation experience
Preferred:
- Experience with heat pumps, ductless systems, furnaces, or air conditioning installations
