Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Hand to coordinate daily operations within our manufacturing and job site environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, good organizational skills, and extensive experience in distribution, material handling, and shipping & receiving. This role is vital in ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, and high-quality output across various departments.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including packaging and load & unload operations.
- Operate and oversee equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, and other machinery to facilitate material movement.
- Assist with order fulfillment tasks to meet delivery deadlines.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during manual handling involving heavy lifting or construction-related tasks.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices in manufacturing and warehouse management.
- Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency and implement process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and conduct regular safety inspections.
Skills
- Proven experience operating delivery vehicles of various sizes and equipment such as forklifts.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving and order fulfillment.
- Knowledge related to heavy lifting techniques and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience with load & unload procedures, packaging, and construction-related tasks.
- Ability to manage warehouse operations efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and management.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
