Truck Zone has an opportunity for a Service Writer/Admin to join our Lloydminster Branch location. The ideal candidate is required to handle customers professionally in person and by phone, ensuring work orders are created accordingly. They will gather and interpret information from technicians in order to advise customers on required services. They must be someone who is committed to safety, has excellent attention to detail, and is looking for a team environment!

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure customer needs are being fulfilled
- Create repair orders completely and in a timely manner
- Scheduling and booking
- Complete and communicate estimates
- Communicate with customer for PO’s, approvals, and updates
- Complete invoicing daily and ensure stories and information is accurate
- Responsible for gathering and interpreting information on equipment conditions from the Service Technicians in order to advise the customer on recommended or urgently required service.
- Communicate all information to customers in a professional manner, explaining the benefits of service and the potential outcomes of postponing repairs
- Work closely with a department to maximize shop efficiency
- Manage all trucking requests at the site
- Ensure all cash sales have been paid before unit leaves yard
- Some bookkeeping and record keeping duties, related to shop maintenance and the technicians' rework accounts.
- Communicate with Head Office Administrator regarding account status, payment terms and liens
- Ensure work orders and paper work is filed proper
- Complete CVIP data entry
- Communicate with shop manager and technicians regarding timelines and change in job scope
- Ensure all parts are added to R/O’s before invoicing
- Ensure all parts have accurate pricing biased on customer estimates
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the trucking industry and related equipment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Professionalism
- Proven data entry, data editing and typing skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
- Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Must have valid driver's license
