Your future role on our team
BBA is growing and our Kamloops, BC team is looking for an individual to focus on engineering projects in protection and control systems for utility substations and generation facilities. You will perform commissioning, maintenance, and corrective work while ensuring safe and reliable operations. You will be monitoring client site activities and contributing as a project, proposal, or site work leader. You will develop and implement protection and SCADA systems, configure protection schemes, and provide technical support both remotely and onsite. Working in outdoor and sometimes remote environments, you will gain valuable field experience. You will also prepare commissioning reports and ensure all deliverables meet high-quality engineering and client standards.

Overview of certifications and job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma (technologist) in one of the following areas: electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, automated production engineering, telecommunications or network administration or any other relevant training
- Be registered as a professional Engineer in Canada for the position of Engineer
- Available to travel to our BBA offices across Canada
- Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client sites in Canada
- Asset: Bilingual (English and French)
- Asset: Experience in power control systems for generation and renewable energy sectors
- Asset: Operational and brownfield experience with industrial and utility systems
Asset: Knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard and the PRP, PTP, SNTP, MMS, GOOSE and SV communication standards
