Your Role
As a Mechanical Project Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our construction operations, supporting on-site teams and ensuring the successful execution of mechanical systems for our projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will coordinate every phase of the project, from planning to commissioning, while meeting quality, budget, and timeline targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination of construction activities, including estimating, scheduling, and cost management.
- Interpret and analyze contract documents and construction drawings with precision.
- Prepare and submit detailed RFIs (Requests for Information) to consultants.
- Manage material procurement and subcontractor coordination.
- Develop, update, and track project schedules to facilitate timely progress billings.
- Prepare and oversee Change Notices for scope modifications.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout project execution.
- Contribute to project closeout documentation and commissioning processes.
What You Bring to the Team
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, a related field, or equivalent construction experience/diploma.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years in mechanical project coordination.
- 5+ years in mechanical industrial or commercial settings.
- Skills:
- Expertise in reading mechanical specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Proficiency in such programs as CAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera P6, BuildOps and Revu Bluebeam would be an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
