Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional service, engaging customers, and promoting our products. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers
- Assist with merchandising and maintaining attractive product displays
- Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain organized work areas and ensure the store remains clean and welcoming
- Utilize communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers
- Manage time efficiently to ensure all duties are completed during shifts
Skills
- Multilingual abilities are a strong plus, especially bilingual proficiency in English and French
- Experience in retail sales preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
- Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities
- Ability to perform product demos and upsell effectively
- Organizational skills to manage and maintain store presentation
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Technical sales experience or knowledge of products is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
