Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Volunteer Tutors to support students in their academic growth. As a Volunteer Tutor, you will provide one-on-one or small group instruction in various subjects, helping students develop their skills and confidence. Responsibilities
- Provide tutoring sessions to students in designated subjects, tailoring instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Assist students with homework, study skills, and test preparation
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment to motivate students
- Track student progress and communicate effectively with program coordinators about student needs
- Develop engaging lesson plans and educational activities when appropriate
- Maintain a respectful and supportive attitude toward all students and staff
Skills
- Proven experience or background in Tutoring or Teaching
- Strong Communication Skills to effectively convey concepts and provide constructive feedback
- Ability to work well with children and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Classroom Experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with educational settings and student engagement techniques
- Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for helping others succeed
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to consistent volunteer hours
