Descendant Detroit Style Pizza is looking for a line cook to join our team! We're a small, but very busy, pizzeria in Leslieville. We're heavily focused on providing high quality food in a supportive team-based environment. We're ideally looking for 1 full-time line cooks to join the team, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and stocking stations as necessary
- Light prep work before service
- Cooking menu items based on expected specifications
- Answering and following the Kitchen Manager's instructions
- Breaking down, closing and cleaning stations daily as required
- Following all sanitation requirements and safety standards
- Maintaining a positive and professional approach with all coworkers and customers
Requirements:
- Some previous culinary experience, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Basic understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment & procedures
- Willing to train the right candidate without experience, if they are willing to learn
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
