Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pool Service & Renovation Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for replacing and installing pool equipment, measuring and installing vinyl liners, and assisting with complete pool renovation projects. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently as well as part of a renovation crew.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot pool equipment issues.
- Remove, replace, and install pool pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, salt systems, and other pool equipment.
- Perform plumbing modifications, equipment pad upgrades, and system retrofits.
- Measure swimming pools for custom vinyl liner replacements and verify dimensions for ordering.
- Install and replace vinyl pool liners, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Assist with full pool renovation projects, including demolition, preparation, and reconstruction work.
- Participate in pool openings, closings, and renovation-related service work as needed.
- Install and repair pool plumbing, fittings, skimmers, returns, and related components.
- Assist with pool step replacements, coping repairs, and other renovation upgrades.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized pool renovation equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate service records, job documentation, and project photos.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding project progress and recommendations.
- Follow all company safety policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pool service, pool construction, pool renovations, plumbing, landscaping, construction, or a related trade preferred.
- Experience installing and replacing pool equipment.
- Experience measuring and installing vinyl pool liners.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read measurements and work accurately with detailed specifications.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work outdoors.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with pool renovations and construction projects.
- Knowledge of pool circulation systems and hydraulic plumbing.
- Experience operating excavation, demolition, or construction equipment.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
- Experience with automation systems and variable-speed pumps.
- Industry certifications are an asset but not required.
Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
