We are currently building a shortlist of experienced Construction / Landscape Labourers for a seasonal, full-time opportunity. This role involves hands-on work in landscaping and hardscaping, including site preparation, grading, material handling, and general construction labour across multiple job sites.
Job Details / Work Structure:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Start time: 8:00 AM (approx. 5:00 PM finish, depending on project needs)
- $20.00/hour
- Employees meet at the shop in Thorold each morning and travel to job sites with the crew
- Overtime or extended hours may be required
- Reliable transportation required (shop is not on a bus route)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform landscaping and construction labour including grading, digging, raking, sod installation, planting, and site cleanup
- Assist with hardscaping work such as pavers, retaining walls, stone placement, and related tasks
- Operate hand and power tools (plate compactors, trimmers, blowers, saws, etc.)
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment between job sites
- Operate compact equipment (Bobcat MT100) if experienced
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow directions and adhere to all health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction or landscape construction is required
- Strong experience with hardscaping, grading, and site prep is an asset
- Experience operating compact equipment (Bobcat / MT100 or similar) is highly preferred
- Comfortable working in physically demanding outdoor environments in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Safety-conscious when working with tools and machinery
- Steel-toe boots required
