We are looking for a Continuing Care Assistants (CCA) to be a part of our Community Support Services at the "The Bridge" formally known as the Double Tree.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized CCA program.
- Provincial CCA certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, families, visitors, and coworkers.
- Good organizational skills and a strong customer service (client/ family) focus required.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis according to the Northwood Corporate Standards.
- Demonstrated use of proper body mechanics and ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Knowledge of / experience working in a team-based, person-centered approach to care.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Meal preparation
- Provide respite for families and care givers
- Documentation (e.g., reporting client concerns, progress notes, incident reports)
- Support recreational/well-being activities and programs
- Accompany client to medical or other essential appointments
- Provide services to clients as per individual care plans developed by Supervisor
- Completes other tasks as required.
Salary /Benefits: As per the Northwood scale
Effective: ASAP
Hours of Work: Casual Hours - Days, Evenings and Nights.
