Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. There is 2 positions available. Night shift and Day shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites, mining operations, or other industrial settings. This role requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to all transportation regulations. Prior experience with heavy equipment operation and commercial driving is highly valued, along with a strong commitment to maintaining vehicle and equipment integrity.
Duties
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or other bulk goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials efficiently while ensuring the safety of all personnel on site.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, materials transported, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate transportation schedules and routes.
- Operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (class 1) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating dump trucks in industrial or construction environments.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and other machinery used in material handling.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads when necessary. Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour
