Summary of Position:
Our client, a medical equipment manufacturer, is seeking a service technician to join them on a 1-year contract performing repair on electromechanical devices. This individual would be responsible for completing the repairs on various equipment including intravenous pumps at the main facility in Richmond Hill.
Main responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots, calibrates, tests and performs routine and complex electrical and mechanical repairs on field returns

Performs and documents complaint investigation on field returns and enters the work in Oracle EBS

Support various operational activities such as device recharge, incoming device reception & cleaning as needed

Will report any observed or informed process and/or product non-conformities to the Supervisor/Manager.

Finds resolution of Quality Situations at the area of responsibility.

Complies with all the requirements in the operational procedures at the area of responsibility in order to meet the requirements of all applicable Quality System Regulations (i.e. GMP compliance).

Clean the assigned work area on a daily basis to maintain a clean work environment.

Follow the appropriate decontamination procedures

Maintains repair test equipment and fixtures as per a preventive maintenance schedule

Ensure service and repair documentation are completed thoroughly with reference to the Quality Management System

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Requirements:
- Electronic Technician Diploma or equivalent experience

Fine manual dexterity and knowledge of tools used including wire stripers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, crimping tools and power screwdrivers

Ability to read blue prints and schematics

Strong attention to detail

Mechanical inclination

Experience soldering

Strong communication skills including verbal and written

Ability to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 50 pounds
Pay:
- $23.00 - 25.00/hr for a 40-hr workweek
