Starting salary: $40 to $50/hour + 5 weeks paid vacation
Pete's Appliance is seeking a motivated and independent Senior Appliance Technician to join our service team in Lethbridge. This position requires physical presence in our Lethbridge store for repairs and on-the-road calls as needed. The Senior Appliance Technician will work alongside our team of technicians and sales associates to continue delivering the best customer service we've been providing for 25 years. The ideal candidate is independent and has a problem-solving mindset. A valid driver's license is required, and customer service skills are required to ensure efficient and professional client interactions.
Responsibilities
- Repair appliances at customers' homes and at our store
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing various household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens.
- Learn to interpret schematics and technical manuals for appliance repair procedures.
- Support the removal, installation, and assembly of appliances in customers' homes.
- Help troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Participate in field service activities such as equipment repair, maintenance, and testing.
- Assist with diverse tasks related to the shop where we do in-store repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each service call.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards by communicating effectively with clients and ensuring their satisfaction.
Skills
- Certified Appliance Service Technician Journeyperson
- Minimun 20 years of on-the-road experience
- Independant
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and perform equipment repairs accurately.
