Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Telehandler Operator to join our construction and heavy equipment team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers and other heavy machinery to assist with material handling, loading, and lifting tasks on various construction sites. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to safety protocols, and experience. The Telehandler Operator plays a vital role in ensuring project efficiency and safety by accurately maneuvering materials and supporting the overall workflow.
Responsibilities
- Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials around construction sites or industrial settings.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks or storage areas using appropriate machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and daily operations.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate material delivery schedules and project timelines.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure continuous operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of minimum 2 years of operating telehandlers in construction industry.
- Valid Telehandler Ticket required.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory depending on job requirements.
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation safety standards.
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow operational instructions accurately.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and work in outdoor construction environments for extended periods.
