Job Title: Experienced ICI Construction Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced ICI Construction Estimator to support full-cycle estimating, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor pricing, and bid strategy.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of construction drawings and tender documents, experience preparing detailed estimates, and the ability to work closely with project management, site supervision, purchasing, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare full-cost estimates for ICI construction projects, including general contracting, painting, millwork, and carpentry scopes.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
- Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and tender documents to identify scope, risks, and project requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractor outreach, pricing requests, and bid submissions.
- Analyze subcontractor quotes and ensure scope coverage.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Purchasing, and Quality Control teams.
- Maintain estimating files, cost databases, and historical pricing information.
- Support project handoff documentation after successful tender awards.
- Provide weekly estimating updates and reports to management.
- Assist with improving estimating processes, templates, and internal procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in commercial, institutional, or industrial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Experience with estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar programs.
- Strong Excel and data management skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines at the same time.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with millwork, painting, carpentry, or general contracting estimating is considered an asset.
