Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. Responsibilities Include safely hauling and spreading aggregate materials to and from various construction sites in and around the Belleville, Trenton, Prince Edward County and Hastings County areas.
Duties:
- Operate dump truck to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, or asphalt to and from sites.
- Spread aggregate as needed for road construction and site preparation
- Perform routine maintenance, including checking fluid levels, checking tires, keeping the trucks clean/organized and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to all MTO safety regulations and protocols while operating the dump truck.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate transportation schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Complete pre & post inspection reports, daily driver logs & delivery logs as required.
Requirements:
-Valid Class D/Z driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating dump trucks and spreading material.
- Knowledge of automotive/machinery repair and maintenance procedures.
- Familiar with MTO regulations, WHMIS & OH&S Act.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Good communication (oral/written) and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
Skills:
-Heavy equipment operation an asset.
- Good communication (oral/written) and organizational skills.
- Commercial driving experience.
- Automotive/Machinery repair knowledge an asset.
- Must be willing to be a team player and assist with jobs on the site when needed.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
