How you will make a difference:
The Business System Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities, geared towards ensuring the effectiveness of the Sales Audit and Finance Department systems. In this role, the BSA will act as a liaison in executing the Sales Audit and Finance Department goals using relevant technology. This encompasses translating the business requirements into capabilities across all related platforms and applications.
As the Business System Analyst, you will design and document workflows, and make appropriate recommendations with regards to processes, controls, and reporting. The Analyst will be a functional expert in the Company’s Sales Audit & Finance applications, reporting modules and ancillary systems and will be one of the primary points of contact between the impacted Departments, External Service Providers, and the Internal IT Dev Group
What You’ll Do:
· Integrate AI tools or AI Agents into day-to-day Business Analysis workflow, including optimizing the use of Artificial Intelligence in pre-packaged software tools and applications.
· Leverage AI tools such as AI Prompt Learning and AI Chatbots to draft and or refine Business Requirements including making suggestions to stakeholders, optimizing Process Improvements, doing research, building and organizing questions and used cases for testing.
· Participate in planning and implementation of Sales Audit and/or Finance related projects across the company’s banners/brands and initiatives.
· Project manage approved initiatives including scope, objectives, resourcing and reporting throughout small business driven project lifecycles and or SDLC.
· Serve as a key champion for AI innovation within Finance and Sales Audit by identifying opportunities, leading the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions, and driving adoption of intelligent tools that enhance efficiency, insights, controls, and decision-making.
· Provide recommendations on process changes or technology options including impact analysis, cost/benefit analysis, timelines, and resource requirements.
· Capture, review, analyze and document current business processes.
· Identify business requirements and user needs, which may result in working with cross-functional teams to design and document creative solutions, including workflows, functional specifications, spreadsheets, charts, and training documentation.
· Develop effective reporting tools for the department including key performance indicators to measure departmental efficiency, if applicable.
· Design and support financial and operational dashboards using BI tools (e.g., SAPBI, Power BI, Tableau) to enable self-service reporting.
· Define, develop, and implement quality assurance and testing procedures in conjunction with the Business and IT development teams.
· Responsible for the full UAT cycle including test case design, regression testing and receiving user sign-off.
· Responsible for replicating and documenting reported user issues, as well as acting as a point person for testing and implementing workable resolutions.
· Escalation of usability and performance issues as required, maintaining ownership of issues through resolution.
· Assist in troubleshooting application issues with the Development, ESPs, Business Area Experts and QA teams.
· If applicable, Act as a Functional Expert and assist in the identification of training requirements within the Business Department, as well as coordinate and work on the delivery of training.
What You’ll Need:
· B/A or B/S degree in a related field or Business Analyst certified.
· 4 or more years of Business System Analyst experience or a related role in Sales Audit or Finance.
· Hands-on experience as a Business System Analyst working in a software development environment.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
· Working knowledge of Sales Audit and Financial Management software (i.e. Lawson Financials, Oracle XSTORE & Sales Audit, Medius AP, Crystal Reporting and SAPBI
· Experience working in a clothing/ multi-brand environment is a plus.
· Strong Experience in Finance projects, including 3rd party and internal integrations is a plus.
· Working knowledge of APIs, SQL, and cloud-based platforms.
· Experience with Collaboration and Issue tracking systems (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, Visio, Data Warehousing, and standard query analytic tools (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server management tool).
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to influence stakeholders to make conscientious decisions.
· Strong leadership skills, focusing on team and relationship building with other employees and departments.
· Able to focus on detail as well as overall process while promoting and facilitating process improvements.
· Seasoned ability to evaluate information received to mitigate conflicts, decompose high-level information into detail.
· Ability to translate low-level information to business understanding and distinguish requests from underlying needs.
· Understand business goals and work closely with key leadership to strategize.
· Superior presentation and facilitation skills
· Sound analytical ability coupled with creative problem-solving skills.
· Proficient working in a technical environment
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Knowledgeable on SDLC.
