This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building and evolving our beverage experience through cocktail development, hospitality leadership, team coaching, community engagement, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will help shape a beverage program that reflects the Tacofino brand, supports strong financial performance, and creates memorable guest experiences.
The role works closely with restaurant leadership and front-line teams to support an exceptional hospitality culture while helping bring energy, creativity, and consistency to the Hastings experience.
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to elevate the beverage and hospitality experience at Tacofino Hastings through leadership, training, menu development, operational consistency, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Beverage Program Leadership
-
Lead the development and execution of the Hastings beverage program
-
Build out an exciting bar program aligned with Tacofino’s brand and positioning
-
Build features and menus with strong costing and margin awareness
-
Maintain beverage quality, consistency, and presentation standards
Training & Development
-
Support onboarding, training, and ongoing support related to beverage knowledge and hospitality standards
-
Assist in building training tools, guides, and educational resources
-
Coach team members on beverage preparation, product knowledge, and hospitality standards
-
Reinforce consistency and accountability through coaching and feedback
Hospitality & Guest Experience

Lead the bar team and provide hands-on leadership and guest service
-
Support and role model exceptional hospitality standards on the floor

Partner with location leadership to elevate guest experience and service culture

Coach teams on hospitality behaviours, guest engagement, and problem-solving
-
Support planning and execution of localized events and activations

Partner with leadership to build relationships with the local community
Operational Standards

Support beverage-related operational systems and standards

Assist with inventory, ordering, pars, and waste reduction

Ensure compliance with liquor licensing requirements and responsible service practices

Support the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of bar areas and beverage stations

Qualifications

3 years of leadership experience in leading a beverage program
-
3 years of leadership in hospitality and restaurant operations

Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and beverage trends

Passion for hospitality and guest experience

Strong and positive communication and coaching skills
-
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment

Experience supporting training and team development
-
Evening and weekend availability, based on business needs
