West Bedford Transitional Health is Nova Scotia’s first transitional care centre, delivered in partnership with Nova Scotia Health. Our team provides specialized, person-centered care that helps patients safely transition from hospital to home and community living.
We are searching for a full-time Charge Nurse to join our Transitional Health team based in West Bedford, Nova Scotia.
As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, supporting frontline staff, and ensuring safe, high-quality care delivery. Working closely with the interdisciplinary team, you will oversee admissions, discharges, staffing coordination, and day-to-day clinical operations while providing leadership, mentorship, and real-time problem-solving support to the nursing team.
This full-time opportunity offers a rare weekday nursing leadership schedule of Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. combining meaningful leadership impact with enhanced work-life balance.

About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Current registration, and active licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience
- You have demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced healthcare environments and are recognized for your strong communication, decision-making, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is considered an asset
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check upon hire
