Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable PERSON to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of construction, including blueprint reading, concrete forming, restoration, siding, carpentry, and the operation of heavy equipment and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects that require precision, safety awareness, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and woodworking tasks. The PERSON will contribute to building and restoring structures with professionalism and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality results across all assignments.
Responsibilities
· Measuring, cutting, and framing the wooden panels and lumber needed to build sturdy and secure formwork on the job site.
· Installing supports, bracing, and shoring to ensure all wooden forms remain completely stable and secure during the concrete pouring process.
· Using leveling tools to double-check that all forms are perfectly straight, aligned, and meet the required dimensions before concrete arrives.
· Taking down and cleaning the wooden forms safely once the concrete has dried, and organizing the tools and materials to keep the job site clear.
· Looking over the project drawings on the job site to understand the exact measurements for the concrete walls and plan the daily formwork setup.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with skills in blueprint reading, carpentry, concrete finishing, siding installation, welding, and restoration work
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong knowledge of schematics and technical drawings for accurate project execution
- Experience with woodworking techniques and the use of hand tools for detailed craftsmanship
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites to prevent accidents or injuries
- Prior experience working with concrete forming or finishing is highly desirable
- Construction experience involving siding installation or restoration projects is preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
