Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a skilled cook who takes pride in delivering high-quality food, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting day-to-day kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities and Job Duties
- Supports Chef with hands-on leadership and management of all kitchen and culinary operations, including production, inventory, purchasing, food safety and quality control.
- Actively participate in preparing and serving meals.
- Supervise, train, and mentor all kitchen staff with a strong focus on teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a strong, professional working relationship with the client.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Support Chef with monitoring food and labor costs, ensuring adherence to established budgets.
- Support and promote an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
- Lead by example and foster a coaching-driven environment that promotes growth and development within the culinary team.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-volume kitchen.
- Experience with catering, restaurants, or a mix of both.
- Proven experience in cost and labour control.
- Proven leadership skills and training.
- Experience with inventory control and order management.
- This position requires the Senior Line Cook to be hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
