Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, fabrication, and assembly processes, with a strong understanding of blueprints and schematics. In this position you will be using your skills to fabricate high quality lowbed and tag a long trailers.
What you’ll do
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on various grades of steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Fit and weld profile cut steel based on blueprints
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely to transport materials around facility.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in welding, fitting, or fabricating within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various welding equipment and tools effectively.
- Familiarity with basic math concepts for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience welding mild, and hardened steel grades.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in multi pass MIG welding
- Experience working in a heavy duty manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Previous experience in aluminum welding is an asset.
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
