French Language Instructor (In-Person)

We are currently seeking an experienced French Instructor to join our expanding language training team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate French teacher capable of delivering dynamic and engaging in-person classes for beginner through intermediate-level learners (A1-B2 levels). Ideal candidates must be skilled in creating dynamic, communicative lessons based on TCF/TEF testing principles that focus on real-life communication and application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, in-person French language classes
- Plan and deliver interactive lessons covering speaking, reading, writing, and listening proficiency.
- Create and grade formative/summative assessments, quizzes, and homework assignments efficiently.
- Provide timely, constructive, and individualized feedback to students to support progress.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit various learning styles, levels, and backgrounds.
- Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress accurately.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with academic staff to ensure instructional quality and program consistency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of professional, in-person French teaching experience.
Formal Education/Certification (One of the following is required):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in French, Education or a related discipline.
- Recognized French teaching certification (e.g., DELF/DALF/TEF Examiner qualification, TELF, or equivalent teaching certification with a French focus).
- Strong command of the French language (native or near-native proficiency preferred).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
Availability: Must be able to teach on-site at our Surrey campus during scheduled daytime and/or evening hours (no remote work options available).
