Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Hand to oversee our landscaping team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a willingness to learn and produce quality work. This role involves supervising daily operations and assisting the foreman. The Lead Hand will play a crucial role in guiding the team in various landscaping tasks, and be in charge of pick-up and disposal of material.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist in leading a team of landscape workers in daily tasks.
- Oversee the execution of landscaping projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in building garden structures such as retaining walls, paving, or fences as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to foster collaboration and address any issues that arise during projects.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in a landscaping or related field.
- Strong knowledge of hardscape installation.
- Ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Experience with driving a truck with a trailer is strongly preferred.
- Experience with operating machinery such as a skid-steer/mini-excavator preferred.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
