We are looking for a Senior Fit Technician in Montreal!
This position is responsible for conducting fit sessions, providing technical feedback, and collaborating closely with design, production, and sourcing teams. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, deep knowledge of garment construction, and a passion for creating perfect-fit clothing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute fit sessions for all product categories, ensuring garments meet brand standards.
- Provide detailed technical feedback to design and development teams on patterns, construction, sizing, and overall fit.
- Collaborate with design, production, and sourcing teams to resolve fit and quality issues.
- Develop and maintain size standards, technical specifications, and fit guidelines.
- Analyze fit trends and garment performance, providing solutions to improve consistency across collections.
- Mentor junior fit technicians and support ongoing training in fit and technical knowledge.
- Work closely with factories and vendors to ensure quality and fit standards are maintained throughout production.
- Keep updated on industry trends, materials, and construction techniques to continuously improve garment fit.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Fit Technician or Technical Designer in fashion apparel (luxury or mass-market).
- Expert knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and sizing standards.
- Strong understanding of textiles, materials, and how they affect garment fit.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and actionable feedback.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and functions.
- Experience working with international factories is an asset.
