Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical office procedures, proficiency with electronic medical records, and excellent communication skills. Prior experience with office management systems such as Accuro Cloud, Microsoft Word, Excel is highly preferred. The Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in maintaining smooth daily operations within our medical or dental practice.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems like Accuro Cloud
- Collect and process patient payments, insurance information, and co-pays
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently to optimize clinic flow
- Maintain organized front desk operations, including filing, faxing, and correspondence
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures while adhering to confidentiality protocols
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, appointment reminders, and documentation management
Skills
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Accuro Cloud
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings
- Previous experience in a Medical Office environment is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and staff effectively
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with front desk procedures, appointment scheduling, and administrative support functions
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Previous experience in marketing
