Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, and fluid flushes.
- Assist in the assembly of vehicle components during repairs or upgrades, ensuring proper fitment and safety standards are met.
- Lift heavy parts and equipment safely during repair procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to enhance their experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred.
- Valid journeyman/woman certification or equivalent technical training in automotive technology.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Experience with automotive assembly processes and routine maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to automotive repair environments.
