Has an opening for a Industrial Maintenance Mechanic This is a full time permanent position with benefits available after three monthsShift Time is 7am to 3:30am with occasional overtime General Job Over View: To maintain Kemflo’s machinery and equipment in the highest standard by providing daily maintenance requirements, as well as implementing a preventative maintenance program. Also responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our automated equipment including End Arm Tooling and Fixture. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform predictive, preventative, maintenance of: manufacturing equipment building tools and shop equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and document results,
- Perform equipment repairs as required
- Repair all tools with necessary hydraulic & pneumatic system-
- Requisition/Quotation of: tools, shop supplies, maintenance materials-
- Insure assigned areas are clean and organized-
- Insure supplies are stocked in appropriate production areas-
- Complete all necessary documentation-
- Repair and replace pneumatic/hydraulic parts and devices, electrical equipment, and machines-
- Manage repair cost within set budged-
- Participate with annual budged and recommend machines for replacement or repair- Protect equipment from misuse or damage-
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness throughout department-
- Repair and maintain in good working order Robotics and automation equipment- Maintenance of assembly equipment and keeping maintenance records:-
- Establish work order systems and log book for automation processes and fixturing for assembly.
- Make recommendations where we could improve our deficiencies
Documentation : You will be responsible for the on-going and up keep of the following maintenance and associated records:
- Daily, Monthly, Bi-weekly and Annually maintenance activities
- Daily activity report sheet- Weekly maintenance check sheet
- Monthly check sheet and monthly report
- Daily control sheet of spare parts
- Comprehensive 6-month maintenance report on all plant equipment
- Any other records related to maintenance that need to be kept and documented as specified by management Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow safety procedures given by management
- Handle all machinery and equipment with caution and always in a safe manner- Report any safety issues or injuries immediately, to the Plant Manager/JHSC/HR Manager.
Perform any other work when asked by supervisor that may not be related to your area but will help in the area of production efficiency, i.e. installing and removing moulds and assisting in mould maintenance
Minimum Education, Skills, and /or experience required;
- Millwright Ticket
- Experience with injection moulding machines
- Mechanical/ Electrical License (Multiple tickets an asset)
- Exceptional knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC's (SLC 50/5 and Control Logic's)
- Ability to read electrical assembly and wiring diagrams is essential
- Able to understand mechanic blueprints, read and apply welding instructions,
- hydraulic knowledge would be a plus
Previous experience in plastics injection industry would be an asset*
