Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and safe warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of warehouse equipment and possess a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes. Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other warehouse equipment to move, load, and unload products
- Pick and pack orders accurately using order picking techniques and warehouse management systems
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Assist in inventory management by organizing stock, conducting cycle counts, and updating records in the warehouse management system
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required to handle products safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and improve workflow efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and forklift operation
- Ability to operate clamp trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment proficiently
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory records
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and safety compliance
