Duties
- Keep work areas, equipment, and prep surfaces clean and sanitary, ensuring safe food handling at all times.
- Ensure freshness and quality by checking ingredients, regulating equipment temperatures, and rotating stock.
- Prepare and cook a range of foods, following recipes and plating standards for a great guest experience.
- Assist with kitchen organization, maintain proper food levels, and communicate inventory needs to the team.
- Support fellow team members and adapt to different kitchen tasks as needed, especially during rush periods.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of culinary practices, food safety, and special dietary needs.
- Skilled in food preparation, knife handling, and kitchen equipment use, with attention to detail and quality.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to organize and manage time well under pressure.
- High school diploma required; Culinary Arts degree and Food Safe Certification preferred, with 3-5 years of experience in full-service restaurants.
- A valid work permit is required
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
