Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, team supervision, inventory control, and marketing initiatives to ensure the store's success and growth. Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse customer bases. Duties
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service
- Recruit, train, and develop staff members to enhance team performance and engagement
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and administrative tasks including bookkeeping and record keeping
- Oversee merchandising efforts, pricing strategies, and product displays to maximize sales potential
- Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties with accuracy and professionalism
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing clients
- Conduct regular inventory purchasing, stock management, and purchasing decisions to optimize stock levels
- Monitor sales performance metrics; analyze data to identify opportunities for growth
- Enforce store policies, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and uphold company standards
- Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Coordinate promotional events and community outreach activities to increase store visibility
Experience
- Proven experience in retail sales management or store supervision with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Strong background in merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
- Proficiency in POS systems, bookkeeping software, and basic math skills for financial transactions
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for diverse customer interactions
- Experience in recruiting, training & development of staff, as well as team management skills
- Knowledge of marketing principles and promotional planning within a retail environment
- Ability to manage budgets, perform administrative tasks efficiently, and handle cash handling responsibilities
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and scheduling
- Leadership qualities including negotiation skills, time management, problem-solving abilities, and effective phone etiquette
