The Blue Marble Academy is hiring a part-time Science and Math Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will begin in September 2026 and is ideal for a post-secondary student or an individual with an undergraduate degree who enjoys working with high school students and supporting their academic growth.
We are looking for someone who is confident teaching high school math and science and can provide clear, patient, and engaging support to students in Grades 9 to 12.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring support to students in Grades 9 to 12, following the Ontario curriculum
- Teach high school math and science concepts in a clear and approachable way
- Support students with homework, test preparation, assignments, and concept review
- Help students build confidence, study skills, and stronger problem-solving abilities
- Communicate student progress and areas of need with the Blue Marble team
- Create a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment
Qualifications
- Must be a post-secondary student or have completed an undergraduate degree
- Strong proficiency in Grades 9 to 12 math and sciences
- Science knowledge may include biology, chemistry, and physics
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different student learning styles
- Reliable, patient, professional, and comfortable working with students
- Previous tutoring, teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience is a bonus
Schedule
This is an in-person, part-time position. Hours will primarily be after school, during weekday afternoons and evenings. Availability for multiple after-school shifts is preferred.

The Blue Marble Academy is a learning centre in King City that provides personalized one-on-one tutoring, academic support, coding, STEM, and enrichment programs for students. Our goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and feel supported in their learning.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
