Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmology Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists in providing exceptional eye care services, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and delivering high-quality patient care. Duties
- Assist ophthalmologists during patient examinations and procedures, including pre- and post-exam preparations
- Conduct visual acuity tests, intraocular pressure measurements, and other diagnostic assessments
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments and verifying patient information
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems (Plexia)
- Educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
- Support front desk operations, including check-in/check-out
- Prepare exam rooms with necessary equipment and ensure cleanliness and sterilization standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and excellent patient service
Skills
- Previous experience in a medical office setting, preferably in ophthalmology or optometry
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems Plexia, Acurro or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and general healthcare
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs
- Experience with front desk responsibilities including scheduling, phones, data entry
- Optical experience or familiarity
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay: $17.85-$21.00 per hour
