Sunshine Care is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Companionship Caregiver to join our growing team in Scarborough, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting seniors through meaningful companionship, emotional support, and attentive overnight care.

Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors
- Assist with activities of daily living and routine care
- Engage clients in conversation and meaningful activities
- Support mobility and ensure client safety
- Provide nighttime monitoring and overnight supervision when required
- Observe and report changes in client condition or behaviour
- Help create a calm, comfortable, and respectful environment for clients
Requirements
- Previous companionship caregiver or home care experience preferred
- PSW certification considered a strong asset
- Full-time availability required
- Flexibility for overnight shifts may be required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently in a home care environment
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with seniors living with dementia or mobility limitations
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
- Access to reliable transportation is an asset
