SparkPreneurs Education is looking for a passionate and creative Pottery Instructor to lead pottery and clay workshops for teens and adults through classes, seasonal programs, workshops, and special events.
The ideal candidate has experience with hand-building and pottery wheel techniques and enjoys creating a welcoming, inspiring, and beginner-friendly studio environment.
What You’ll Be Teaching
- Pottery wheel fundamentals
- Hand-building techniques
- Clay sculpting and ceramic art
- Glazing and finishing basics
- Creative pottery projects for teens and adults
- Beginner to intermediate pottery classes
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging pottery classes and workshops
- Demonstrate pottery wheel and clay techniques safely
- Support students with individual guidance and encouragement
- Prepare and organize materials, tools, and workspace
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized studio environment
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Assist with workshop setup and special events as needed
Qualifications
- Experience teaching or practicing pottery and ceramics
- Comfortable using pottery wheels and studio equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, creative, and organized
- Experience teaching teens or adults is an asset
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
- Background in fine arts, ceramics, or related field is a plus
