Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician to join our team, providing essential maintenance and repair services for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Millwright licencing and experience will be an asset as the company engages in general repair and troubleshooting of industrial/commercial food equipment. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical expertise, problem-solving skills and independence are highly valued. Employees dispatch from home with company car.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Utilize braizing skills for system repairs or modifications when required
- Read and interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings to accurately diagnose issues
- Assist with construction or retrofit projects involving HVAC infrastructure
- Conduct commercial appliance repairs related to HVAC/R equipment (gas licence and ability to service equipment is a bonus)
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all work performed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC/R Technician or mechanic with a solid understanding of HVAC systems and refrigeration technology
- Basic knowledge of industrial equipment including plumbing, boiler systems and appliance repair
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC/R equipment in commercial or industrial environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- 313A Refrigeration licence, G2 Gas licence, braizing certificate and ODP card. Safety certificates must be up to date or willing to receive training from company.
- Ability to pass background checks/driving record review and adhere to safety protocols at all times
This position requires a dedicated professional capable of maintaining high standards of quality and safety while delivering exceptional service.
Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
