Confined Space Rescue Technician $32/HR Ottawa Infrastructure Project

Project Site: Lemieux Island
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $32.00 per hour
Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly Pay

MGR Workforce is seeking experienced and safety-focused Confined Space Rescue Technicians for an active project on Lemieux Island in Ottawa. Workers will report to the designated pier location and will be transported directly to the island worksite daily.
This role is ideal for candidates with confined space rescue experience who are comfortable working in high-responsibility environments and responding quickly during emergency situations.
- Stand by as designated rescue personnel during confined space operations
- Ensure all confined space rescue procedures are fully maintained on site
- Inspect and maintain rescue and safety equipment
- Respond immediately to emergency situations if required
- Work closely with site supervisors and confined space attendants/watchers
- Participate in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments
- Maintain detailed safety documentation and rescue readiness
- Support overall site safety operations
- Valid Confined Space Certification
- Previous confined space rescue experience preferred
- Strong understanding of rescue procedures and emergency response
- Comfortable working in industrial or construction environments
- Reliable transportation to the designated pier meeting location
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain alert and focused throughout shifts
- $32/HR competitive pay
