Salary Range: $63,347 to $116,190 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement)

Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience:

Extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching in all areas of this assignment.
- Knowledge of, and demonstrated application of, the Ministry of Education's current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement teaching practices that align with the Professional Standards for BC Educators.

Willingness to work as part of a team in the planning and delivery of a literacy and numeracy program
- Knowledge of and experience using effective strategies to support the direct instruction of literacy skills; i.e. The balanced literacy framework would be an asset

Experience with the snap numeracy assessment in the delivery of a balanced numeracy program

Knowledge of and demonstrated application of the components of a balanced mathematics program

Proven classroom management, behavioural management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction based on individual student differences, strengths and needs

Demonstrated ability to use a variety of formative and summative assessments to plan for instruction

Demonstrated willingness to work as part of a team in the planning within the RTI model

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in addressing the wide range of academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs of children
- Willingness to explore the concept of higher level thinking within collaborative inquiry structures

Demonstrated ability using technology to enhance student engagement for a wide range of abilities

Proven ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with students, staff and parents
