Our client is currently seeking an AZ Float Driver to join their team on a full-time, contract permanent basis in Sudbury. If you’re looking for a flexible driving position that combines on the road driving with in-shop work, then apply today!
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate vehicles to float heavy equipment to various industrial and mining sites
- Perform in-shop labour duties in between runs
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Perform routine vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness
- Assist with unloading equipment at sites
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Valid AZ driver’s license in good standing
- 3-5 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR
- Experience floating heavy equipment is required
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Commitment to safety practices in all driving activities
- Strong communication skills in English
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
