Our firm primarily focuses on compliance, along with tax and financial consulting work on Canadian private entities.
We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team!
Job description:
· Must be able to complete and oversee all phases of client file, including file production, completion, processing of any monthly or quarterly GST/PST deadlines, and year end file completion.
· Intake of client documents, and organization of the same to prepare year end, monthly and quarterly engagements
· Preparation of financial statements using CaseWare
· Preparation of tax returns, including T1 and T2.
· Familiar with or willing to learn payroll services for clients.
· Prepare GST/HST, PST, WCB, T4 and/or T5 returns, as well as corporate and personal tax returns.
· Assist junior staff with questions and provide training where needed
· Communicate with clients and management.
· Understanding of accounting practice and principles.
· Proficiency with Microsoft word, excel.
· Willingness to learn.
· Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
· Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
· Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of Canadian public practice experience
· Minimum 3 to 5 years of Canadian bookkeeping experience.
