Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient individual to join our team as a cookand Cashier. This role combines customer service, food handling, and cashier responsibilities in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer experiences. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, POS systems, and restaurant operations while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and serve food items according to established standards and safety protocols
- Manage cashier duties such as processing orders, giving change, and balancing cash drawers
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling and preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure efficient time management during busy periods to minimize wait times and improve service flow
- Follow all sanitation procedures to uphold health standards within the restaurant or food service area
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Food handling certification or knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation processes is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Prior experience in food industry roles such as serving or cashiering is desirable
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
