Job description:
Based in Stony Plain, AB Tekpan Canada carries significant inventory for distribution into the Canadian market. We are looking for a sales rep to cover Western Canada with a primary focus on Alberta. Tekpan Canada is a fast paced growing company, offering growth opportunities for the proper candidate.
Tekpan is a leading manufacturer of electrical enclosures, based in Izmir Turkey we currently export to over 85 countries.
The successful candidate will be working independently and under the direction of senior management. Successful candidate will be eligible for base salary plus internal commission structure.
Responsibilities:
- Source new sales opportunities via existing customers and cold calling
- Utilize existing contact data base to develop new customers
- Be familiar with products & services offered to identify proper target clients
- Update and provide weekly target and status reports
Qualifications:
- Eager self starter able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to develop cold calls into new customers (via email & phone)
- Excellent computer skills required (Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom etc.)
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
Assets:
- Previous inside and or outside sales experience
- Confident & Adaptability to change
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and able to travel across Western Canada
- Engaged and contributing to a positive work environment
Position would be based at the Stony Plain office location, working hours 8AM - 4:30PM.
