MBS Radio is growing — and we’re looking for a driven, community-minded leader to take the reins as General Manager/Sales Manager for AVR (CKEN) and Magic 94.9 (CKWM), serving the Annapolis Valley.
This isn’t a maintenance role. It’s a builder’s role. You’ll have the autonomy to develop your team, deepen client relationships, and plant MBS Radio firmly at the centre of the communities we serve. If you thrive where strategy meets people — and where no two days look the same — keep reading.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day station operations with an eye on both culture and performance
- Build and execute sales strategies that grow revenue and deliver real results for clients
- Coach, mentor, and motivate your sales team — celebrating wins and solving problems together
- Cultivate lasting relationships with local businesses, agencies, and community partners
- Track the numbers, report to senior leadership, and stay ahead of market trends
- Work cross-functionally to keep all departments moving in the same direction
What You Bring
- Proven leadership in sales management — you’ve built teams and hit targets
- Sharp analytical instincts paired with strong interpersonal skills
- Comfort with CRM tools, financial forecasting, and budget ownership
- A genuine passion for local community and local business
- Media or broadcasting experience is an asset, not a requirement
- Relevant sales or management certifications are a plus
