We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager to support medically complex students in school settings. This role blends clinical care with education and training, empowering school teams to safely support student health needs while promoting inclusion and educational success.
The RN Case Manager collaborates with families, school staff, and healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care while playing a key role in staff education, competency development, and clinical best practices.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans

Coordinate care between schools, families, physicians, and community providers

Monitor and evaluate student health status and adjust care plans as needed

Provide clinical leadership, consultation, and mentorship to nursing and support staff

Lead and participate in case conferences and school-based care planning
-
Deliver education and hands-on training to school staff supporting medically complex students (ADLs and clinical care needs)

Promote clinical competency and confidence among school teams through ongoing education initiatives

Collaborate with inclusive education teams to identify student needs and develop care plans
-
Ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and quality improvement

Support student safety, emergency readiness, and risk management
-
Willing to drive to and work in Airdrie
Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
-
Active or eligible registration with CRNA
-
Current BCLS-HCP certification
-
Medication Management course (if required per CRNA guidelines)

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a reliable vehicle for work-related travel
Additional Qualifications

1–2 years of work as a school nurse or equivalent experience

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Experience educating staff or mentoring care teams (highly valued)

Experience working with families, schools, and healthcare providers

Proficiency with electronic documentation systems

Physical Requirements

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 3:30pm and Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm
